Adathoda vasica-strong bronchodilator and expectorant
Adathoda vasica is a number one strong bronchodilator and expectorant siddha herb.The pharmacological activities of vasicine and vasicinone are well known.Investigations on vasicine showed bronchodilatory activity(comparable to theophzlline) both in vitro and in vivo.Both the alkaloids in combination (1:1) have showed pronounced bronchodilatory activity in vivo and in vitro.Vasicine also exhibited strong respiratory stimulant activity,moderate hypotensive activity and cardiac-depressant effect.Vasicinone was devoid of studies on Adathoda has shown that on intravenous administration,it was 1/20,1/40 as active as codeine on mechanically and electrically induced cough hn rabits and guinea pigs.After oral administration to the guinea pig the antitussive activity of Adathoda was similar to codeine against couging induced by irritant aerosols.

Avoidable materials

2.Rigorous regimen
It should be adopted while taking mercurial preperations in case of severe illness.
Salt,tamirind,jack fruit,tobacco should be prohibited.Fenu greek seeds,clove,bark of cinnamon,cane sugar,cow's milk,ghee are advisable to take.

Siddha and Refractory Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia
In siddha it is known as kuruthi azal noi.It is a type of bleeding disorder.Very low platlet counts can lead to a bleeding diathesis and purpura.Usually nose bleeds and bleeding gum may occur if the platlet count is below 20,000 compared to a normal range of 150000-400,000 per mm.Thanga basmam,Rasagendi Mezugu,Ayakantha chendooram combination extensively deals with the positive response in several cases of Refractory ITP within 3 months(Medical experiences of Dr.Jayaprakash Narayanan,CCRAS,Chennai)

Epithelial and Granular casts are indicative of inflamation and degeneration of renal tubules
Treatment
1)Nerunjil kudineer-60ml B.D
2)Nandukkal parpam-200mg with tender coconut water
3)Kalnar parpam-100mg with butter
Diet and Regimen
1)plenty of water should be taken (water restricted if renal failure develops)
2)Avoid chillies,spices,sour food
