Patents of CCRS
A Coded drug D5 Chooranam was formulated and standardized as per AYUSH guidelines. A patent was filed and it got published with No 2578/CHE/2015 on 05-06-2015. 3. On 15 -5-17.
A patent has been applied with the title “Simple and low cost process for the preparation of synergistic Bio-active compound JACOM for the management of H1N1 influenza virus infection with the patent number CHE-101/10871/2017 and the same has been published in 2018.
A patent has been published for “Synergistic natural novel usage of Siddha formulation – Thiriphala Chooranam as pharmaceutical excipient” with the application number 201841011646 dated 28.03.2018.
One more patent has been filed for “Facile green synthesis of iron oxide using Acalypha indica L. – A Siddha medicinal plant and its application thereof” application number- 201841015633 dated 25.04.2018.

Digitalization of Siddha imaging Science
Digitalization of Siddha Imaging Science
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) sanctioned grant of 8 lacs for a project "Investigation and Development of Enhanced Siddha Diagnostic Uroscopy "Neikuri" using Dynamic Image Processing System" to validate Siddha Neikuri. It is a one among 6 projects sanctioned all over India under Indian Knowledge Systems in Healthcare. Congratulations to Principal Investigator Dr.P.Manirajkumar and CoPI Dr.Kaleel Rahuman of PSNA college of Engineering, Dindigul. It is a only one project selected from Tamilnadu. As a coordinator of the project, I am very happy that my long dream comes true to patent Siddha diagnostic Uroscopy Instrument.
My heartiest appreciations and thanks to AICTE for the grant of eight lacs to validate Siddha diagnostic Uroscopy. Integration of engineering and Traditional knowledge will show a light for better beginning in Siddhar's science.

According to the Tamil tradition, he is one of the revered sages and the one who gave the much followed Siddha system of medicine to mankind. He is considered the first among the 18 Siddhars whose collective efforts led to the emergence of the body of Siddha knowledge. Psoriasis Vs Siddha:Psoriasis is not only a disease that causes painful, debilitating, highly visible physical symptoms. It is also associated with a multitude of psychological impairments. In a study of 127 patients with psoriasis, 9.7% reported a wish to be dead and 5.5% reported active suicidal ideation at the time of a study. Psoriasis can affect relationships at home, school or work as well as sexual relationships and cause psychological strain.In Siddha, Kalanjagapadai is another term compared to psoriasis. It is well known that the Siddha medicines are very good in treating skin diseases especially psoriasis. Dr.Ayyangannu MD(Siddha), Lecturer in ATSVS Siddha Medical College, Munchirai has completed the documentation on Siddha drug manufacturing techniques especially the suddhi (processing methods of raw materials before using for medicine). It took almost > 8 years, > 10 Lakhs money and a big team of siddha students/doctors involved to video record all the procedures from their college lab. It was first initiated by Dr.Stanly Paul, then executed by Dr.Sriram Jayaraj under the leadership of Dr.Ayyankannu. Dr.Ayyankanu almost spent all his salary only for this project. Many people donated money and extended other type of supports to make his dream true. Actually this video documentation is supposed to be included in the Syllabus of Gunapadam, made available in library of all Siddha Medical Colleges/Institution and should be taken for further research by researchers. Dr.Ayyankannu had not obtained any grant from AYUSH or any support from CCIM for this project. In this occasion, we should remember Dr.Kannusamy Pillai and TV Sampasivam Pillai for their uncompensated contributions to Siddha field as private persons. Their books are not in BSMS Syllabus as they were not a Government Siddha College teachers. Despite no salary or grant received for their contribution, today their documentations have a significant role for next generation Siddha learners. Sameway, Dr.Ayyankannu's documentation will be surely play a vital role in reviewing Sidda knowledge to next generation. He is eligible for Best Siddha Doctors award, that is given every year by Collector or CM or AYUSH Minister for Government Siddha doctors. He is eligible for huge grant from AYUSH to carry out further research. At this point of time, I expect He would be honored, awarded, acknowledged by Siddha community in the Conferences or Government functions. I hope CCRS/NIS/CCIM/AYUSH/ Siddha associations will felicitate him in the forthcoming Siddha Conferences with an award. This will encourage all non-government Siddha doctors (including him) to continue their contributions and motivate them to put their effort to Siddha growth. He is having another vision to document psychology and psychiatry concepts of Siddha Medicine and he has started that work too. Ethics in siddha medical literature
Ethics in Siddha medical literature:
In Siddha medical literature, ethics of the physician –patient relationship are available scattered, rather than all together in a single place.
Siddhar Agasthiyar in the classical Siddha medical text ‘Agasthiyar paripooranam 400” mentions little code of medical ethics, as follows,
• ‘Virtue lies in treating a poor, and not in treating a king’. (Verse 370).
[The verse has earmarks of the World Medical Association Declaration of Geneva (amended by the 68th WMA General Assembly, Chicago, October 2017), ‘I will not permit consideration of age, disease or disability, creed, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affection, race, sexual orientation, social standing or any other factor to intervene my duty and my patient’]
• ‘Treat others the same way you want them to treat you’ (Verse 371)
[A most inclusive line captures all the codes of medical ethics]
In these two verses, Agasthiyar repeatedly stresses, ‘These virtues will make the physician mastery in her / his profession’.
