Research into basic principles in Siddha and ASUS medical systems concerned. The need of the hourMedical practises in this field should be based strongly on the basic principles of the system concerned in order to provide holistic benefits to the patients. Such an orientation in teaching institutions will leverage the competency of medical students. Researchers and research guides have to develop problem-based unique methodologies and research protocols to explore the value and merit of fundamental principles in the cases of diagnostics, treatment modalities, clinical applications, prognostics, preventive and promotive interventions, technology developments, instrumentations, etc. Advanced modern parameters also have to be combined to endorse, justify, and substantiate the outcomes in terms of scientific data. We must not forget that we treat the patient based on more than just the symptoms, and a single treatment pattern cannot be used for all. Rather, our approach is purely individualised or personalised and also geo-specific or season-specific. As a result, our research programme will go much deeper to cover all aspects in order to strengthen our fundamentals. At the same time, we must find a way to collect, compile, and digitise ancient literature to create a repository. Our research shall be expanded to include Siddha-genomics, Siddha dietetics, and so on.
