Consultative Meet for the Observance of the 8th Siddha DayThe Consultative Meet for the Observance of the 8th Siddha Day organized by CCRS was held on 22nd November 2024 at CCRS Headquarters, Chennai through Hybrid mode. The event brought together all stakeholders, including Ayush representatives, GB and SAB members of CCRS, SAB Chairman of CCRS, NCISM representatives, University representatives, NIS representatives, Joint Director, DIM & H, and Principals & representatives of all Siddha medical colleges from Tamil Nadu and Kerala.Prof. Dr. N.J. Muthukumar, Director General, Central Council for Research in Siddha, Ministry of Aush, Govt. of India warmly welcomed the dignitaries and Principals /Participants from various stakeholders to the 8th Siddha Day celebration. This event is aimed to promote Siddha medicine to the public, with this year's theme "Siddha for Public Health".DG, CCRS narrated the proposal submitted to Ministry of Ayush to promote and create awareness about Siddha system of medicine to the public, encouraging active participation and suggestions from all members. Their valuable inputs and collaborative discussions with all stake holders will undoubtedly enrich our collective efforts to promote Siddha medicine by organizing medical camps, Yoga demo, Varmam therapy demonstrations, Culinary medicine, Siddha internal and external dosage forms, Siddha specialty treatments etc., CCRS appreciates their commitment to advancing Siddha medicine and look forward to continued collaboration.The 8th Siddha Day celebration is a significant milestone in promoting Siddha medicine, which is one of the oldest codified traditions of healthcare in India. The Ministry of Ayush has been instrumental in promoting Siddha medicine, and events like this help to raise awareness about its benefits and importance.
